About Us - A3 CNRS

Our Association includes over 2,000 members in France.
  • Some are retired - the whole of their career was spent in CNRS, as scientists, engineers, technicians, administrative and other support staff;
  • Others are active in Universities, in private business and industry, in Government service…

Abroad, several thousand scientists from many countries have spent long periods in CNRS facilities in France as visiting Research Fellows. They are eligible to join the Association.

Anyone abroad who has worked, or been associated with, the CNRS is cordially invited to become a member of the Association : no subscription fee is required in France, but applicants should complete the form below and register with the Association, either on line or through the post.

Scientists from abroad currently in France as visiting professors or researchers are cordially invited either to contact our regional representative nearest to their place of residence or to register on line with us, so as to be able to take part in our activities during their stay in France. See entries : Activities in France and How to join.

When your application has been received and formally registered you will regularly receive three publications :
  • « Rayonnement du CNRS », the Association’s quarterly Journal (in French) ;
  • « Le Journal du CNRS », the CNRS’s monthly publication (in French) ;
  • « CNRS International Magazine », the CNRS’s quarterly publication in English.
